Newborn, Maternity & Family Photography Policies

1. Scheduling & Timing

Newborn Sessions: Ideally scheduled within 5–14 days after birth. Due dates are used as placeholders; sessions will be finalized once baby arrives.
Maternity Sessions: Best scheduled between 28–34 weeks of pregnancy.
Family Sessions: Scheduled based on availability and lighting conditions (golden hour is preferred).
Clients are responsible for arriving on time. Late arrivals may result in reduced session time.

2. Rescheduling & Cancellations

One complimentary reschedule is allowed with at least 48 hours’ notice. Unless stated otherwise on booking link.
There is absolutely no refunds on deposit
Reschedules due to illness (especially for newborn sessions) are always accommodated for safety.
Cancellations or repeated rescheduling may result in forfeiture of any payments made.
In the event of photographer illness, emergency, or unsafe weather, sessions will be rescheduled promptly.

3. Health & Safety
The health of your baby and family is the top priority.

The photographer follows strict hygiene practices, including handwashing and sanitizing props.
Clients must inform the photographer of any illness prior to the session.
Newborn sessions are baby-led and will never force unsafe poses.

4. Session Experience
Sessions are relaxed and guided. For newborn sessions, ample time is allowed for feeding, soothing, and breaks. Parents and siblings are encouraged to participate in a calm and supportive environment.

5. Wardrobe & Styling
Clients will receive styling guidance prior to the session.

Neutral, timeless tones are recommended.
Avoid busy patterns and logos.
Client closet (if offered) must be handled with care and returned in original condition.

6. Image Delivery

Proof galleries are delivered within 2–3 weeks (timeline may vary by season).
Final edited images are delivered after selections are made.
Images are delivered via an online gallery for download.

7. Editing & Artistic Style
Clients acknowledge that they are familiar with the photographer’s portfolio and editing style. Images are edited in a consistent style, and additional editing requests may incur fees.

8. Copyright & Usage
The photographer retains full copyright to all images.

Clients receive a personal-use license for printing and sharing.
Images may not be altered, sold, or used for commercial purposes without written permission.
The photographer may use images for portfolio, website, and marketing unless the client requests otherwise in writing.

9. Model Release (Optional Clause)
By signing the contract, clients grant permission for the photographer to use images for promotional purposes unless a written opt-out is provided.

10. Liability
The photographer is not responsible for injuries, accidents, or damages that occur during the session. Clients agree to participate at their own risk and supervise children at all times.

11. File Storage & Backup
Final images are archived for a limited time (e.g., 3–6 months). Clients are responsible for downloading and backing up their images after delivery.

12. Communication
All communication should be conducted via email or agreed-upon channels. Response times may vary but are typically within 24–48 business hours.

Acknowledgment

By booking a session, clients confirm they have read, understood, and agreed to these policies.
